The presentation will consider the contentious history of the emergence and destruction of black business districts throughout America including: exploring those important districts in Durham, Tulsa, Atlanta and Charlotte; and considering the works of John T. Williams, Thad Tate, Zachariah Alexander, and Ceasar R. Blake, Jr.
